TEN years ago if as student you were asked what you wanted to become, the answer would have been one of the “big three” – lawyer, doctor, engineer.
Careers such as communications, were often met with, “Communications? What can you do with that?” God forbid if you said you wanted to become an artist.
However, fast-forward 10 to 15 years and now, the job outlook has totally evolved. The nerds are now the super-rich. The kids who had to do business at school are now investment bankers, and the the creatives are now taking over the world.
The future of work has evolved. And so should our goals and expectations if we or our children hope to remain relevant and afloat in the years to come.
