KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tax offices and Revenue Service Centres across the island are experiencing a shortage of motor vehicle licence plates.

This is according to a release issued by the Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) on Wednesday.

“This is due to a delay in the delivery of our supplies, as well as an unusually high increase in the demand for plates during recent months,” the release said. “We are now in discussions with suppliers to have the matter resolved as quickly as possible.”

While apologising for the inconvenience caused, the TAJ said updates will be provided through the media.
