THE following are the highlights of the 2016 Article IV Consultation and the 11th and 12th Extended Fund Facility (EFF) reviews Concluding Statement of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission.

The statement was presented by the IMF Mission at a press conference which also included Minister of Finance and the Public Servic, Audley Shaw at the ministry in Kingston on Friday.

1. Since May 2013, Jamaica has been implementing an economic reform programme supported by the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility.

Significant strides have been made in restoring macroeconomic stability, reducing public debt and deficits, undertaking comprehensive reforms in tax policy and administration, building financial sector resilience, and removing supply-side obstacles to growth.
