The unit trust market has tripled in size in two years, boosted by inflows of $30 billion in 2015 and $52 billion in 2014.

At December 31, 2015, total funds managed by unit trust management companies reached approximately $142.3 billion, as indicated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC).

While investment rates in the product slowed somewhat towards December 2015, overall growth reflects the redirection of funds from the retail repo market where the investment floor was hiked to $1 million last year.

In December 2013, funds under management in the unit trust market were $57.95 billion compared to $111.44 billion in December 2014 and $142,25 billion in December 2015.
