Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited (CAB) board of directors along with Chairman and CEO Raymond Walker hosted a 10th anniversary celebratory soirée at their new Old Hope Road location last Friday evening. Staying true to the motto: Getting it right, the first time, the right time, every time.
Walker, in his address, spoke of the perils of blind investing, and the challenges he faced as the company grew. “In order to build long standing relationships with our clients, we must be prepared to advocate on their behalf,” Walker told the gathering of clients and government officials.
Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Finance & Planning, Horace Dalley, the evening’s guest speaker, drew reference to a recent Forbes magazine “Best Country for Business” list that ranked Jamaica number 64 out of 148 countries. “For our economy to continue on this trajectory, the government must support new ideas in order to assist in the reshaping of our economy”, he said, adding “…we see economies building all around us, therefore, we cannot ignore the significance of supporting new business ideas.” Sunday Finance shares the highlights.
