GK General Insurance Company Limited launched GKGOnline on July 31 at the CRU Bar, Lady Musgrave Road, St Andrew, allowing customers — new and old — to access automobile insurance via the Internet.

“We developed this online portal for everyone seeking car insurance in a convenient manner,” Ramona Eubank, assistant manger — GKGOnline, told Auto.

By accessing the website www.gkgonline.com, visitors following three simple steps can get insurance quotes from GK General Insurance and, more significantly, purchase the package that best suits them. Once on the site, users first have to enter details about themselves, including their driving history, and their vehicle details. From there, GKGOnline will generate three options: an initial quote based on the details provided, a recommended package and a basic package, which is the legal minimum required.

“Customers can easily purchase insurance in under 15 minutes,” she said.

Another first that further separates GKGOnline from its local online competitors is the ability for the user to customise their insurance to their specific needs, should they not find any of the recommendations satisfactory.

“GKGOnline offers a build-your-own coverage feature,” Eubank explained.

Customers then can purchase the final package online via their credit card through several payment options once they qualify. Clients can then print copies of all relevant insurance documentation from the site. The originals can be collected at any GK General Insurance branch or delivery arrangements made.

“This has been an exciting project for us as we are leveraging technology as part of our customer-centric focus at GK General Insurance,” added Frank James, group CFO — GraceKennedy.
