 IN a blog article on April 8 entitled “President Obama visits Jamaica but what is his Government doing to Jamaica’s economy”, posted in the influential Huffington Post in the US (amongst other places) Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) co-director Mark Weisbrot summarises the arguments of a recent CEPR research paper “Partners in Austerity: Jamaica, the United States and the International Monetary Fund” by Jake Johnston.
