The private sector is spearheading a crime forum aimed at forcing the Government and Opposition to agree to certain key actions to address Jamaica’s crime problem.
Speaking on Power 106 FM yesterday, head of the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association, Metry Seaga, said the crime forum is to be held within another two weeks.
He says the private sector will be insisting that the prime minister, the leader of the opposition and the national security minister and his opposition counterpart attend the forum.
Seaga says the private sector will be requiring the political leaders to affix their signatures to whatever agreements are arrived at during the forum.
